This collection features other Yixing teapots from the Ming Dynasty. Some of these works may have been created in the early Qing Dynasty, though it is almost impossible to verify now. Since most of these artists' lives were spent during the Ming Dynasty, these pieces are still included in the Ming-era Yixing teapot collection.
Many of these artists were not natives of Yixing; some were painters, sculptors, or poets, while others were porcelain craftsmen from Jingdezhen, who brought the techniques and aesthetics of porcelain into Yixing teapot-making.
